WHERE THE DAY GOES

The unhurried drift of an ordinary day, followed wherever it goes.

I am Jun. I live on Banda Street, a short walk from Chinatown Complex and the shophouses that still smell of roast meat by midday. This site is my notebook in public — not a guide, not a brand, just one person writing down where the hours tend to wander when nobody is rushing them.

I notice the bus that arrives first when I leave the choice to chance. The uncle who points toward Outram Park without being asked. Dust in afternoon light on a five-foot way after the cleaners have passed. Small things, kept in plain sentences, because the outline of a day fades faster than I expect.

Most entries start within a few blocks of home — People's Park, Pearl's Hill, the coffeeshops where the aunties already know your order before you reach the counter. Occasionally I write from somewhere else, when an ordinary walk crosses an edge I cannot forget. Those posts sit here too, dated and honest about what I did not see.

About Jun

I keep this journal from Blk 5 Banda Street. My mornings often begin at Chinatown Complex with kopi and a table by the window, or a slow loop through the market before the heat settles. I notice loose threads on jackets, strangers who point the way without fuss, the slow tug of slope when I walk toward Pearl's Hill instead of taking the direct route.

I write in loose, ambling sentences because that is how memory arrives for me — one detail, then a gap, then another detail catching light. If you want the longer picture of who I am and why this site exists, the about page has it.
